Marian Hill Discuss Their Album, "Unusual" Video:

Marian Hill consists of Philadelphia natives and high school friends Gongol (vocals/songwriting) and Lloyd (production/songwriting). The duo has a one of a kind sound that is present throughout — blues harmonies blend with sparse hip-hop drums, horns blast under classic vocal melodies and soloistic vocal chops sit side by side with clear, intimate lyrics. Marian Hill’s sophomore album, "Unusual," evolves the sonic and soulful adventure Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd began on their debut album, "Act One," & breakthrough platinum single, "Down," which reached Top 10 on Top 40 radio and Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
