Ruben Östlund Speaks On His Film, "The Square" Video:

Nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, "The Square" just won the Goya Award for Best European Film, the lion's share of U.S. Critics' awards in the category, and the Palme D'Or. "The Square" stars Claes Bang as Christian, the respected chief curator of a prestigious contemporary art museum. His next show is "The Square", an installation which invites passersby to altruism, reminding them of their role as responsible fellow human beings. But sometimes, it is difficult to live up to your own ideals: Christian's foolish response to the theft of his phone drags him into shameful situations. Meanwhile, the museum's PR agency has created an unexpected campaign for "The Square." The response is overblown and sends Christian, as well as the museum, into an existential crisis. Join BUILD as we sit down with director Ruben Östlund to discuss the film.
