Rose Namajunas Drops By To Talk About Her UFC Career Video:

“Thug” Rose Namajunas is the undisputed UFC strawweight champion. The 25-year-old Milwaukee native, now based in Denver, stunned the world when she did what no one could do and knocked out then-undefeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk inside the first round to capture her title at UFC 217 in Madison Square Garden. Not only did the win earn her the title, but also the 2017 MMA Fighter of the Year Award from ESPN as well as the Upset of the Year Award from Sports Illustrated. Namajunas also won the hearts of fans worldwide with her post-fight speech, where she spoke on the importance of being a good person – not just a champion. Outside of the Octagon, Rose is a classically trained pianist who loves music (especially hip hop) and spends time tending to her organic garden. While that may sound odd when talking about a UFC champion, Rose Namajunas breaks all stereotypes and earns new fans with every step of her journey.
