Melania Trump is hitting back at a Vanity Fair article saying "come hell or high water" she didn't want to be first lady. A longtime friend of the Trumps told the magazine the position "isn't something she wanted and it isn't something [Donald Trump] ever thought he'd win,” adding, “I don't think she thought it was going to happen." The first lady's press secretary slammed the magazine saying, “it is shameful that they continue to write salacious and false stories meant to demean Mrs. Trump.”
