Jessica Chastain And Niki Caro Discuss Their Film, "The Zookeeper's Wife" Video:

"The Zookeeper's Wife" is a real-life story of one working wife and mother who became a hero during World War II. Antonina Żabińska (Jessica Chastain) and her husband, Dr. Jan Żabiński (Johan Heldenbergh), have the Warsaw Zoo flourishing under her care and his stewardship in 1939 Poland. When their country is invaded by the Germans, Jan and Antonina are then forced to report to the Reich's newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck (Daniel Brühl). Deciding to fight back, the Żabińskis secretly begin working with the Resistance and start plans to save lives out of what has become the Warsaw Ghetto, with Antonina putting herself and her children in great peril. Chastain and director Niki Caro visit BUILD to speak on the film. Interview at 692 Broadway in NYC for BUILD Series.
