Mariah Carey’s ex-husband, Tommy Mottola, the former chairman of Sony Music, was married to the “Emotions” singer from 1993 to 1997 and is widely credited with launching her to superstardom. Now the pop star’s ex has come to her defense, telling the world to “leave her the hell alone" following her disastrous New Year's Eve performance. Mottola said what happened to the "One Sweet Day" singer "could have happened to anyone and it has, so everyone should just get off her back."
