Zach Braff Apologizes For Comparing Pharrell Williams To Monkey During Grammys

Zach Braff is apologizing after sharing a tweet that compared Pharrell Williams' outfit at the Grammys to that of a monkey in 'Oz the Great and Powerful'.

The actor was sharing his thoughts about the 57th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday when he said: "Grammys are time-delayed in LA but someone just sent me this."

The message was accompanied with a photo of Williams, who was in bellhop costume complete with gold buttons and a round hat for his performance of 'Happy', next to a shot of Finley the monkey in Oz the Great and Powerful.

The photo sparked backlash from some who saw the comparison between Williams and a monkey as racist.

Braff ignored the messages at first before eventually deleting the post.

"I love Pharrell," he wrote. "I thought the outfit he wore was similar to that of my bell hop outfit in Oz. I apologize."
