Shia LaBeouf's Driver's License Suspended For One Year

Shia LaBeouf's driver's license has been suspended for one year for refusing to take a breathalyzer test following his July car accident.

The Department of Motor Vehicles confirms that LaBeouf's suspension is the result of "refusal of chemical tests" when he was busted on suspicion of driving under the influence. Even though the 'Transformers' star was cleared of such charges after it was determined that the other driver caused the crash by running a red light.

LaBeuof was found not at fault in the accident that left his hand seriously injured and had his hand in a cast so he could get through 'Transformers 2.'

He recently dropped out of the technology-themed movie 'Dark Fields' due to the injury, even after undergoing "extensive hand surgery" to repair damage, because it required a second procedure to repair damage around the thumb.

The DMV says the suspension was 'automatic' as per California law, which states that a person's license can be suspended for refusing either a blood, breath or urine test for a suspected DUI.
