Official 2008 Emmy Nominations Announced
Even though shortlists for a few categories leaked out a couple of weeks ago, the final announcement has cleaned up the number of nominees in each category and as you'll see below, cable shows like 'Mad Men' and 'Damages', for the first time ever, made the cut. NBC's '30 Rock' was the most recognized series overall with 17 nominations, and "Mad Men" was a close second with 16 total nominations of its own. The 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be handed out on September 21. Check out the list of Emmy finalists below, or if you prefer, watch the mildly entertaining video from the nominations at the very bottom, which were presented by Kristin Chenoweth (photos DRAMA SERIES DRAMA LEAD ACTOR DRAMA LEAD ACTRESS DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTOR DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTRESS COMEDY SERIES COMEDY LEAD ACTOR COMEDY LEAD ACTRESS COMEDY SUPPORTING ACTOR COMEDY SUPPORTING ACTRESS REALITY COMPETITION REALITY HOST OUTSTANDING SPECIAL VISUAL EFFECTS OUTSTANDING ANIMATED PROGRAM OUTSTANDING MINISERIES This Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has finally officially announced the nominees for the 60th Annual Emmy Awards.
