NBC Confirms 'Friends' Reunion But Matthew Perry Still Unsure
The news was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour by NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt. Greenblatt was hopeful that he will be able to get Jennifer Aniston (photos "I'm hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time," he said. "But I'm not sure if we can logistically pull that off." Greenblatt didn't take any names but it appears Matthew Perry will be the most difficult to get together for the scheduled February 21 special. The actor is currently in rehearsals for his London play, The End of Longing. "NBC executives were aware of this prior to their (Television Critics Association) announcement," says his rep. "Matthew may tape something for the tribute. In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for." The special, which will also serve as a tribute for sitcom director James Burrows, will tape later this month on January 24. NBC has confirmed it's working on a two-hour 'Friends' reunion with the whole cast.
