Meredith Vieira: 'I'd Cut It Off' If Anthony Weiner Was My Husband
"It's all Weiner, Weiner, Weiner, Weiner," Vieira told Jay Leno of living in New York. "I like me a Weiner. Don't get me wrong but I mean... not that kind of a Weiner! But I'm sick of it. I honestly think he should drop out personally," she said of the Mayoral race. "It's ridiculous. This thing haunts him wherever he goes. It's not going to go away. He clearly has an ego and then Spitzer, who's running for Comptroller... criticized Weiner and Spitzer has kind of his own issues." "I've never met her but everybody that I know has says she's a phenomenal lady," she said of Weiner's wife, who has been by his side at least publicly throughout the scandal. "Wonderful lady, very smart and I'm not going to judge her decisions at all. But you know, it's got to be humiliating to stand up next to him." Asked by Leno what she would do, the former 'Today' host replied without hesitation: "If my husband was sexting? I'd cut it off. I'd cut it off!"
