Lisa Kudrow: TV Actors Should Always Ask For Higher Salaries
Kudrow and the cast of 'Friends' famously earned $1 million per episode in the later years of 'Friends' and most recently the stars of 'The Big Bang Theory' were negotiated a similar payday. "The rationale is that the show is actually generating an enormous amount of money, and it's affordable. It's affordable to whatever entity has to pay it," Kudrow tells Huffington Post. Kudrow added that actors are "basically freelance" and "for any actor, you should try to get as much as you can because you never know when your time's up." "Especially actors on shows where they're character-driven and the actors are the characters, they're necessary, and I don't think it's out of line to ask that, you know, 'Make me a partner in this endeavor in some way,'" she says. Kudrow's 'The Comeback' returns to HBO this weekend. Lisa Kudrow believes TV actors should be rewarded handsomely when their show is a hit and thinks the stars should demand it.
