Kevin Spacey Seeking Treatment Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

With production on 'House of Cards' shutdown, Kevin Spacey is stepping away from the public spotlight.

"Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment," his publicist says in a brief statement. "No other information is available at this time."

The development comes less than a week after actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making an unwanted sexual advance towards him when he was 14.

Spacey used his apology statement to officially announce he was choosing "to live as a gay man", which further enraged observers because it appeared the actor was deflecting from the allegations.

Since then, Netflix announced the upcoming season would be 'House of Cards' last and the actor's International Emmy Award was pulled.
