Kelly Ripa Reportedly Receives Apology From ABC Executives

ABC has apparently apologized to Kelly Ripa (photosKelly Ripa photos) to smooth out its now fractured relationship.

This after the network blindsided Ripa by scooping up 'Live' co-host Michael Strahan for 'Good Morning America'.

According to CNN, the executives "expressed regret for the way Kelly was told the news."

The personal apology was conveyed by Ben Sherwood, the president of the Disney-ABC Television Group.

Ripa returns to 'Live' Tuesday, her first show since Strahan announced his impending departure.

In an email to the show's staff, Ripa said: "I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information... Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning."

In her return to the show Tuesday, Ripa confirmed that "apologies have been made."
