JoJo: I Was Originally Offered 'Hannah Montana' But Turned It Down

Singer Joanna Levesque, better known as JoJo, reveals in an interview with 'Extra' that she was originally offered the role of 'Hannah Montana', but she turned it down.

The same role that eventually went to the now teen queen Miley Cyrus (photosMiley Cyrus photos) and now earns her upwards of $25 million a year.

"Yeah, they offered me the role...But it's not really what I see for myself," JoJo tells the entertainment show, claiming she doesn't regret her decision, "No regrets. No regrets at all."

JoJo had a hit in 2004 with her platinum-certified first single 'Leave' and she's since had small roles on several TV shows and big screen projects, but she's nowhere near 'Miley' status.

She stars in the upcoming 'Lifetime' movie 'True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet', which airs on the network this Saturday at 9 PM. She plays a hard-partying girl in the movie based on a novel, but coincidentally, one reviewer said the movie felt like "a cautionary 'Hannah Montana' episode, with a wildly uneven tone that awkwardly tips from whimsy into melodrama at a moment's notice."
