John Mayer Defends Justin Bieber After Singer Cancels Rest Of 'Purpose' Tour
Bieber had 14 remaining concert dates in Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, California and internationally in Japan, Singapore and the Philippines. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months," his publicist says in a statement. "He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase." The announcement, which comes days after China chided Bieber for "bad behavior," disappointed thousands of Beliebers. In fact, John Mayer thought the 23-year-old was taking too much heat and commended his decision. "When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going," Mayer commented on social media. "We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin thumbs up for realizing it was time to call it. You should too." John Mayer is defending Justin Bieber after the singer abruptly cancelled the remaining dates of his Purpose World Tour.
