Heath Ledger's Autopsy Inconclusive, Six Prescription Drugs Found

New York City's medical examiner conducted an preliminary autopsy on Heath Ledger today that proved to be inconclusive.

Ellen Borakove said detailed results would be released in about 10 days, after tissue and toxicology tests: "The autopsy was finished and the cause of death for Mr. Ledger will be pending further study."

Police said there were different types of prescription drugs found in the apartment including anti-anxiety and sleeping pills but no illegal drugs, no suicide note and no evidence of foul play.

A rolled-up $20 bill was also found on the floor near the bed, but lab tests found nothing to indicate it had been used to snort drugs.

Ledger was known for his intense approach to his roles after he got his start in the teen movie '10 Things I Hate About You.' Playing the Joker in the upcoming Batman sequel 'The Dark Knight' will be his final finished performance.
