Gwyneth Paltrow (photosGwyneth Paltrow photos) tearfully testified Monday in the trial of a man accused of stalking her.

The 'Iron Man' actress said Dante Soiu wrote her upsetting letters on his intention to marry her and sent her pornography, sex toys and even religious books, earrings and clothes.

Soiu has been accused of stalking Paltrow for 17 years. He spent years in a mental institution for his contact in 1999 and 2000 for which he was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

He is in court for 66 new messages and items he sent her between 2009 and 2015.

"I felt very upset by it. It defied logic, and I found it very, very upsetting," Paltrow said.

"This was something I had been through a very long and traumatic experience with already. I felt very upset by it. This has been a very long and very traumatic experience already."

Soiu has pleaded not guilty to felony stalking and claimed his writings were non-threatening. He said his recent communications focused on scripture.

"I have a goal: to marry Gwyneth Paltrow and take care of her," he wrote in one letter.
