GMA Cancels $10,000 Payment To Botox Mom For Faking Story

'Good Morning America' has cancelled a payment of nearly $10,000 to the Botox Mom a day after she said she made the whole thing up.

Sheena Upton, who first made headlines in the UK, had claimed that she regularly injected her 8-year-old daughter to help her win beauty pageants.

But after child welfare officials took her daughter away, she claims she made up the story because she was offered money "to play the role of Kerry Campbell" by British tabloid The Sun.

"I was provided with the story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview," she says in a statement signed "under penalty of perjury."

Upton even took her daughter to UCLA Medical Center to prove she was telling the truth this time.

"After my daughter received a full medical exam, the results indicated that she has not ever received treatments including Botox or other such injections."

'The Sun' is standing by its story, and "strongly denies any suggestion it solicited or knowingly published a false story" but ABC isn't waiting.

'Good Morning America' says it's cancelling its payment to Upton because it's a violation of their contract with her.

"We had agreed to pay a $10,000 licensing fee for the pictures which show her injecting botox, but obviously in light of everything that's happened, zero money has been sent that way," says ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider.

"We have a contract which stipulates that the images depict what they purport to show, that there's no staging in any way."

"So with all those open questions, we're going to hold the money back."
