'Futurama's Original Voice Cast Returning For New Episodes

The 'Futurama' characters won't be getting new voices after all.

After a brief salary dispute with 20th Century Fox TV, during which it appeared as though the five 'Futurama' voice stars were all but done, the actors have finally reached an agreement to reprise their roles on the show.

John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille all closed their deals on late Friday. Both the actors and 20th Century Fox moved from their original positions to find a compromise to make it happen.

"We are thrilled to have our incredible cast back," 'Futurama' creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen said in a statement. "The call has already gone out to the animators to put the mouths back on the characters."

The animated comedy is set to return with 26 brand new episodes on Comedy Central in mid-2010 and run over two seasons.

The return was triggered by strong DVD sales, especially with its straight-to-DVD movies, and solid ratings for the show's reruns on Cartoon Network and Comedy Central.
