French President Sarkozy Walks Out Of '60 Minutes' Interview (Video)
"If I had something to say about Cecilia I would certainly not say it here," Mr Sarkozy told CBS. When he was asked again, he brought a swift end to the interview. "You asked me that question," Mr Sarkozy seemed to say as he pulls off the microphone, stood up and walked away from interviewer, Leslie Stahl, who appeared confused. French President Nicolas Sarkozy abruptly terminated an interview with CBS when he was asked about his wife Cecilia and the interviewer wouldn't let it go.
The interview was broadcast on Sunday, October 28, but was conducted two weeks before the president and his wife announced their divorce.
Sarkozy also called his press secretary 'stupid' for scheduling the interview with CBS before it began.
"He is stupid," he said of his press secretary. "I don't have the time. I have a big job to do." When the interviewer suggested not to get angry he said "I'm not angry, I'm in a hurry."
