Fox Adds TV Series Based On 'Lethal Weapon' and 'Exorcist' To Lineup

Fox has added TV adaptations based on big-screen hits 'Lethal Weapon' and 'Exorcist' to its lineup.

'Lethal Weapon' will be a police drama based on the '80s movie franchise, starring Damon Wayans Sr. and Clayne Crawford as Murtaugh and Riggs, two cops working the crime beat in present-day Los Angeles. Jordana Brewster (photosJordana Brewster photos), Kevin Rahm and Keesha Sharp will also star.

Meanwhile, four decades after the horror classic hit theaters 'The Exorcist' will be a psychological thriller that follows two priests who tackle one family's case of demonic possession. Geena Davis stars alongside Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Brianne Howey, Hannah Kasulka, Alan Ruck and Kurt Egyiawan.

The network also ordered baseball 'Pitch', in Kylie Bunbury's young pitcher becomes the most famous person in the country when the San Diego Padres call her up to pitch—making her the first woman to play Major League Baseball, and 'APB'.

'APB', apparently inspired by true events, stars Justin Kirk as tech billionaire Gideon Reeves who, after witnessing a violent crime, takes over Chicago's 13th Precinct and runs it as a private police force with cutting-edge technology paid for with his own money.

Two comedies 'Making History' and 'The Mick' were also ordered.

'Making History' stars Adam Pally, Leighton Meester and Yassir Lester in the time travel comedy about three friends from two different centuries as they try to balance the thrill of time travel with the mundane concerns of their everyday lives.

Finally, 'The Mick' sees 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Katlin Olson as Mackenzie 'The Mick' Murphy, a hustler who finds herself raising three entitled children after her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law flee the country over criminal charges.
