Critics Say Daniel Craig Best Bond Since Connery

James Bond can breathe a sigh of relief, as the critics who have reviewed the latest Bond flick "Casino Royale," say Daniel Craig may be the the best ever Bond since Sean Connery.

Critics say that Craig delivers a performance "so strong" that it may make even hardcore Bond lovers forget about Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan.

"Craig is the gritty, tougher-than-nails secret agent [that] novelist Ian Fleming meant the world to see. With his bulked-up frame, intense blue eyes and don't-mess-with-me attitude, Craig makes Brosnan look a bit girlie in comparison," the New York Post quotes a critic.

The critic adds that women will be panting when Craig emerges from the sea "wearing a skimpy pair of swimming trunks."

Blond-haired Craig has had to dodge many bullets since becoming the sixth official James Bond. He was quickly labelled "too soft" by fans following reports he is scared of heights and was injured filming his first ever fight scene.

Craig was also humiliated by claims he could not cope with gears in Bond's famous Aston Martin and had to have an automatic.

But the movie is far from perfect. Critic complained about the absence of Q, Miss Moneypenny and "a lack of sharpness in the plot".
