Brad Pitt Joins Cast Of Tarantino's 'Inglorious Bastards'
Pitt's character is reported to be a rebel who leads a band of soldiers as they take revenge on Nazis in German-occupied France. Pitt and Tarantino haven't worked together before and Producer Lawrence Bender believes they will "push each other and really help make something special." His character is said to a hard-nosed leader who doesn't mince words. One line attributed to his him, according to those that have read the script, is "we're gonna be doing one thing, and one thing only, and that's killing Nazis." The movie is on an accelerated schedule because Tarantino would like to have it finished in time for a debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Even though a key role is now locked-up, many roles still must be filled before it begins shooting in early October. Brad Pitt has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Bastards', signing on to play Lt. Aldo Raine, the head of the Jewish resistance in the World War II film.
