Bond Movie Still Without Lead Actress

Will the speculation never end? It appears that rumours that Thandie Newton would be the next Bond girl have been squashed. She had tested for the part and new Bond Daniel Craig was said to be "very impressed" with the 33-year-old's audition for Casino Royale as we reported last month.

But despite all the speculation about British actress Thandie Newton, she denies she's the next Bond Girl. "That isn't happening", she is quoted as saying. "It was a big rumour I enjoyed very much because it gave me an opportunity to fantasise about something that wasn't ever going to happen".

So who will it be? Filming on the new James Bond movie has already started in Prague and we're still shocked that 007 is still without a leading woman.

Meanwhile, residents living around the studio where Casino Royale is being filmed complained that their lives are being made a misery by the noise and traffic. They say high performance cars constantly speed down roads, alongwith stretch limos carrying the stars and huge lorries carrying stage props.

Angry residents handed officials a petition at town hall by angry residents demanding they take action to stop the noise.

Ian Fleming's 'Casino Royal' was the first James Bond book and Bond finds himself on a mission to neutralize a lethal Russian operative.
