'Battlestar Galactica' To Hit The Big Screen

'Battlestar Galactica' fans will have a chance to enjoy 'Razor', the two-hour extended Battlestar Galactica episode/film on the big screen.

It's been announced that 'Battlestar Galactica: Razor' will screen at select movie theaters on November 12, almost two weeks before it debuts on the Sci Fi Channel on November 24.

Creator Ronald D. Moore has said 'Razor' will "be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4." A preview trailer recently aired on the network:

The special two-hour extended episode will be in theaters in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle. Admission is free, but seats are limited so head on over to the site (link) and register before it fills up.

It technically comprises the first two episodes of the fourth season but it is intended to be a stand-alone film. It will also be quickly released to DVD on December 4, 2007, 10 days after its airing on cable television.

The fourth and final season of the show begins in early April 2008.
