Stephen Colbert Asks 'Would ISIS Exist If Saddam Was Still In Power?'

Most of the world agrees that it's united against ISIS but Stephen Colbert wonders what that really means.

He discusses how ISIS can be defeated with Medal Of Honor recipient Colonel Jack Jacobs and asks "Would ISIS exist if Saddam was still in power?"

"I think not," replies Jacobs. "I think it's an outgrowth of that. These are Sunni apocalyptic people who are hurdling toward the end of the world and they want to bring everybody with them."

As for how to destroy ISIS, Jacobs says solely dropping bombs isn't the answer and it would require several hundred thousand troops.
