Walmart Apologizes For Calling Plus-Size Halloween Wear 'Fat Girl Costumes'

Walmart is apologizing after it listed plus-size Halloween wear on its website as "fat girl costumes."

The apology came after users complained after coming across the section.

"Not sure labeling these as 'Fat Girl Costumes' is the best approach," said one.

"Congrats on your 'Fat Girl Costumes' section. Always keepin it classy, eh Walmart?," added another.

"This never should have been on our site. It is unacceptable and we apologize," said the retailer. "We are working to remove it as soon as possible and ensure this never happens again."

Equally as funny was the banner found on top of the section that promised "Make it a monstrously big Halloween for less."

The costumes and the inappropriately named section have now been changed to "Women's Plus-Size Halloween Costumes."
