Trailer For Whitney Houston's New Film 'Sparkle' Debuts (Video)

The first trailer for the late Whitney Houston's upcoming film debuted on Monday.

A remake of the 1976 original, 'Sparkle' stars Houston as the mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle with fame and drug addiction.

Houston died in February after her own battle with drug abuse.

Her autopsy results revealed the singer's cause of death was accidental drowning with cocaine as a contributing factor.

'Sparkle' is scheduled for release on August 17.
