Taylor Swift Wins Album Of The Year, Adele Plagued By Sound Issues

Taylor Swift (photosTaylor Swift photos) took the top prize at the Grammy Awards Monday night and used her acceptance speech to subtly respond to Kanye West.

While accepting her Album of the Year award for '1989' Swift said: "There are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame."

"But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world."

Ed Sheeran earned his first Grammys with Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Thinking Out Loud'. Meghan Trainor also joined the club winning Best New Artist with a teary acceptance speech.

Lady Gaga (photosLady Gaga photos)'s much-anticipated tribute David Bowie was the highlight of the night when it came to performances.

However, on the opposite end of the spectrum, Adele was plagued by sound issues as took the Grammy stage for the first time in four years to sing 'All I Ask'.

The singer's mic briefly cut out early in the performance and the audio appeared to falter with sounds, including Justin Bieber's guitar, at one point throughout her performance.

After the show, Adele tried to explain what happened and told fans "Sh*t happens."

"The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune," she said. "Sh*t happens."

"Because of it though... I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it."
