Tamron Hall Lands Daytime Talk Show 5 Months After 'Today' Exit

Weinstein Television has landed a daytime talk show with former 'Today' show and MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall.

Hall left NBC in February after being blindsided by Megyn Kelly's arrival to the network and learning that the former Fox News anchor would be taking over her slot.

"I've been working towards developing a talk show for a long time, but needed to make sure I did it the right way and with the right person to take the lead," Weinstein Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein said in a statement.

"Tamron is far and away that person. She's an exceptionally talented journalist whose interviews masterfully walk the line between entertainment and hard hitting. We couldn't be more thrilled to begin this new venture with her."

Hall said she was feeling "grateful" for the opportunity and thanked fans "for the love and support."

The untitled show is still in the planning stages and is expected to be a mix of current events, human interest stories and interviews.
