Syfy Developing Superman Prequel Series 'Krypton'

Syfy has announced it is developing 'Krypton', a TV series with David Goyer as a prequel that takes place even before the Man of Steel was born.

According to the official series description, 'Krypton' will be set "years before the Superman legend we know, the House of El was shamed and ostracized."

"This series follows The Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known."

Along with Goyer, it will be developed by 'Once Upon a Time's Ian Goldberg.

'Krypton' would join the other DC Comics origin stories on TV including 'Gotham', 'Arrow', 'The Flash' and 'Constantine'.
