Spencer Pratt Suspended From 'Hills' After 'Flipping Out' On Set

On Monday, Spencer Pratt announced he was leaving 'The Hills' to fight cyber crime.

"In the last few months I have discovered a new passion and new purpose to my life," Pratt said.

"Upon learning of President Obama's declaration that the 'cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation', I have decided to refocus my energy and devote my full resources to helping America face this and other unprecedented challenges."

"With this in mind, I have decided to take a break from my obligations to The Hills and discontinue filming any more episodes for this current season."

But 'Us Weekly' reports that Pratt isn't leaving the show to help the country. In fact, he's been suspended from the show.

"All of that stuff about him leaving The Hills to fight cyber crime is not true," a source tells the mag. "He is leaving The Hills for six weeks because he was asked to."

This after Pratt "flipped out" at a female producer on the show's set.

"He got so crazy that he screamed 'I should kill you for even asking me to do that!'"

When the woman filed a complaint with the show's producers, who threatened to kick Pratt off the show, his agents stepped in to work out a compromise.

"The show agreed that Spencer would leave The Hills for six weeks to do anger management training once a week at home. If he completes it, he can return to the show."
