Snoop Dogg Sick Of Slavery Depictions: 'They Keep Showing The Abuse We Took'

With History channel debuting its 'Roots' remake, Snoop Dogg is sick of slavery being depicted in movies and television and is telling fans to boycott the series.

"I'm sick of this shit. How the f—-k are they going to put Roots on, on Memorial Day?" the rapper asks on social media. "They going to just keep beating that shit into our heads about how they did us, huh?"

"I don't understand America. They just want to keep showing the abuse that we took hundreds and hundreds of years ago. But, guess what? We taking the same abuse."

The History Channel revival is a four-part, eight-hour series of the original 12-hour miniseries.

"I ain't watching that shit, and I advise you motherf--—ers as real n—--- like myself; f--- them television shows," Snoop says. "Let's create our own shit based on today, how we live and how we inspire people today. Black is what's real. F— that old shit."

"When you all going to make a motherf---ing series about the success black folks is having? The only success we have is Roots and 12 Years a Slave and s--- like that, huh? F--- ya'll. I ain't watching that s---," he said. "F--- them television shows. Let's create our own s--- based on today, how we live, and how we inspire people today."

The first episode of 'Roots' aired Monday at 9 PM and airs nightly through Thursday on History.
