Sky News Apologizes For Brief Glimpse Of 'Charlie Hebdo' Cover

Sky News apologized to its viewers on Thursday after accidentally showing a brief glimpse of the 'Charlie Hebdo' cover.

The glimpse came during an interview with Caroline Fourest, a writer at the French satire magazine.

Fourest was expressing her disappointment that most media outlets in the UK had chosen not to show the cover when she reached for a copy of the magazine.

The camera caught the top part of the cover before the shot was switched back to the studio.

"We at Sky News have chosen not to show that cover, so we'd it appreciate it, Caroline, not showing that," the host said. "I do apologize for any of our viewers who may have been offended by that."

The shooting at the magazine's office in Paris has prompted a debate about the freedom of expression and respecting religious figures in most of Europe, including the UK.
