Scrooge Spice Charges Children's Charity 10,000 For Fundraiser

Melanie Brown, who suddenly finds herself popular once again as a member of the reunited 'Spice Girls', has charged a British charity 10,000 for appearing at a festive fundraiser for terminally ill children.

The 'Scary' scrooge refused to waive her appearance fee for helping the 'Make a Wish' Foundation.

This is the same Melanie Brown who will be taking in more than 10 million from the band's reunion tour.

One person at the event says: "All Mel B did was sing a couple of Christmas songs, sign autographs and mingle with the crowd collecting donations in a plastic bucket. And for that she pocketed 10,000 that should have gone to needy kids."

"Many people felt she should have waived her fee. It's the least she could have done to help raise cash for the kids."

UPDATE:

Some good news to report, Mel B's representatives at first were simply responding to the reports with 'no comment', but after nearly a day, thanks to media pressure, they have come around and will now be donating the fees back to the charity!
