Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million To Help Hurricane Harvey Victims

Sandra Bullock (photosSandra Bullock photos) has donated $1 million to the Red Cross relief effort to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

The star, who is a long-time supporter of the American Red Cross, has a home in Austin, Texas.

"There are no politics in eight feet of water," the actress says. "There are human beings in eight feet of water. I'm just grateful I can do it. We all have to do our part."

"This is an incredible gift. We're so thankful. It's times like this when we do receive such an incredible amount of support," the American Red Cross says in a statement.

Kim Kardashian (photosKim Kardashian photos) and her family has donated $500,000 to the Red Cross while Kevin Hart has been the most vocal with a donation of $50,000 as he encourages his fellow actors to give as part of his Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge.
