Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams, Beck and Beyonce Top Grammy Awards

Sam Smith made a big splash at Sunday's Grammy Awards as he took home awards from four of his six nominations.

The 22-year-old British soul singer was named best new artist and won Grammys for pop vocal album as well a sweep in song and record of the year.

His album, 'In the Lonely Hour', lost to Beck for album of the year.

Pharrell Williams and Beyonce, both of whom had six nominations as well, won three awards.

Kanye West didn't win any Grammys but attended the event with wife Kim Kardashian (photosKim Kardashian photos) to performed a new song about his late mother, 'Only One'.

He also joked about his infamous mic-stealing moment when Beck won album of the year. West climbed the stairs to the stage and stopped just short of the microphone as he let out a smile.
