Robin Williams' Autopsy Finds No Illegal Drugs Or Alcohol

Robin Williams' autopsy found no alcohol or illegal drugs were in his system when he committed suicide at his Northern California home in August.

The report finally released by sheriff's officials also indicted that they found that the actor had taken prescription medications, but only in "therapeutic concentrations."

The coroner ruled Williams' death a suicide that resulted from asphyxia due to hanging.

There were also superficial cuts on Williams' wrist with a pocketknife found nearby.

However, the coroner's conclusion was consistent with early reports that revealed the actor-comedian had hanged himself with a belt.

He had been struggling with depression, cancellation of his CBS comedy, and a recent Parkinson's diagnosis.
