Robert Blake Calls Murdered Wife Con Artist, Goes On Tirade In Interview

Robert Blake made a rare television appearance on CNN with Piers Morgan this week and spoke about being acquitted of his wife's murder.

The 78-year-old actor, who was making the appearance to promote his new memoir titled 'Tales of a Rascal', launched into a tirade after Morgan questioned him about how truthful he was being about the incident.

"I made a deal to come here and talk about anybody from the book," he snapped. "I excused you from that deal because I thought you were going to be cool. Now you're trying to s--t into the ground."

"I've never allowed anybody to ask me the questions that you're asking," Blake continued. "I allowed you to do that because I trust you. And I would have assumed that you and that guy in your ear would trust me. And if you don't, then we'd better start talking about The Little Rascals."

He then turned to the camera, almost as an aside, to talked directly to the "rotten bastard" cops who "ripped my guts out and left me beside the road to die."

"I'll get you son of a bitches later, but don't think you're going to get off the hook. I was supposed to die in that cell, wasn't I, you bastards," he said. "Well, I didn't die, and you didn't get your book deal, you mothers."

"I wrote a book about you, so you'll have to go out and rip some other celebrity 'til he's dead, then you can write a book about him. I'm sorry, I'm back," he said as he turned back to Morgan.

When Morgan asked whether wife Bakely's death was the most significant moment in his life, he retorted that it wasn't near the top. Instead, he said starring in his first film was his most significant moment.

The actor also implied that his late wife had it coming because she was a con artist who moved to Hollywood to trick her way into show business.

"Bonnie had people that she burned. How bad I don't know," Blake said. "Did she steal everything from them? We'll leave that alone. But nobody really knew where Bonnie was. She had 15 ID cards. She had 15 credit cards. She had different places where she lived and nobody could ever find her if they were looking for her."

"But one day somebody opened the paper and saw that Bonnie just married Robert Blake and where does Robert Blake live... and what a couple of weeks later she was dead. I want you to chew on that for a bit."
