Redmond O'Neal Arrested Again on Drug Charges

Redmond O'Neal, the troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, is back in jail after a judge found he committed another drug-related probation violation.

O'Neal was released from jail last year after a series of drug-related arrests.

He was ordered to attend a rehab program as a last chance to avoid major prison time.

But O'Neal has landed back in jail after being arrested on a felony drug charge while on a 24-hour pass from rehab.

During the hearing, the 24-year-old handed Judge Michael Tynan a sealed handwritten letter, though it was not read in court. His attorney, Richard Pintal, would only say that the judge told O'Neal to write the letter as an assignment.

O'Neal will remain in custody until he returns to court on February 2.

He could face up to six years in prison, since his latest violates probation terms of a previous drug offense.
