Raven-Symone Leaving 'The View' For Disney 'That's So Raven' Spin-Off

Raven-Symone is leaving 'The View' to return to her Disney channel roots.

She announced on the show Thursday that she'll be leaving the daytime talk show before the end of the season to produce and star in a 'That's So Raven' spin-off for Disney Channel.

"I'm excited and sad, but I have an announcement to make. No, I’m not pregnant," she joked. "We're doing a That's So Raven II – there’s no title yet. I'm very excited. I’m going to be leaving before the year's up."

She will reprise her role as Raven Baxter, now as a divorced mother of two children, one of whom has inherited her ability to see the future in the form of visions.

"Raven's brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel's success around the world," said Adam Bonnett, Disney Channel's VP of original programming.

"Her performance in That's So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we're looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family."

Raven-Symone joined 'The View' full time just last year but never seemed completely engrained on the panel, often appearing as little as once a week.
