Randy Jackson Hospitalized In California With Chest Pains

Randy Jackson, brother of the late pop legend Michael Jackson, has been hospitalized in Southern California.

The 48-year-old was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena after he experienced chest pains around noon on Tuesday.

He is currently awaiting the outcome of tests. Doctors at the hospital are said to believe it was a mild heart attack, but there will be more information once results of the tests are available.

His representative is urging fans not to worry, insisting, "He's OK."

"Randy has had a mild heart attack, but he is okay. He was joking around with his father and he is feeling pretty good all things considered. He's been under a tremendous amount of stress lately but Randy is a fighter. He'll pull through," a family friend tells NDTV.

Jackson's last public appearance was just a day earlier at Dr. Conrad Murray's medical license review hearing on Monday. The doctor stands accused of administering the anesthetic Propofol which contributed to Michael Jackson's death.

Jackson recently spearheaded a campaign to open Glendale, California's Forest Lawn Cemetery to fans of the King of Pop, so they could pay their respects to his brother on the anniversary of his death.
