Corner Says Porsche In Paul Walker Crash Was Going Over 100 mph

According to a coroner's report, the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that 'Fast & Furious' star Paul Walker was riding in may have been going at a speed of over 100 miles per hour when it crashed and went up in flames.

Investigators found no mechanical problems with the car or other problems in the roadway, which formed an approximately 1-mile loop.

Walker and friend Roger Rodas, who was driving the Porsche, died in the crash after the car hit a light pole that had a posted speed limit of 45 mph, spun, then hit a tree on Walker's side of the car and caught fire.

Both men were so badly burned that they had to be could not be positively identified visually and dental records had to be used.

The report says the Porsche was travelling "at an unsafe speed, approximately 100+ mph," according to deputies who took testimony from witnesses.

With no mechanical problems found, the report says "for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle."

No drugs or alcohol were detected in the system of either Walker or Rodas.
