Pilot Raced For LAX Landing According To Carrie Fisher 911 Call

Audio from the 911 Call aboard the flight has revealed that the United Airlines pilot scrambled to get to Los Angeles after Carrie Fisher experienced a cardiac arrest.

In the audio from the December 23 call to 911, a United Airlines Operations staff member can be heard telling authorities that the 11-hour London to Los Angeles flight was "making up time" in the air.

"We have one of our international flights coming in from London, it's about 10 minutes out and it's a medical emergency for a passenger," the caller says.

Fisher was rushed to UCA Medical Center but would never regain conciousness. She died at UCLA Medical Center four days later. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died the following day.
