Paul McCartney To Perform On Special One Hour 'Colbert Report'

Paul McCartney will join Stephen Colbert for a special one hour music special of 'The Colbert Report' on Wednesday, June 12th.

"I think this McCartney kid's got something special and I'm gonna put him on the map!," Colbert jokes in the announcement.

McCartney, who is currently on his Out There tour, will perform a few songs from the tour as well as the 2013 reissue of Wings Over America and sit down with the comedian for an interview.

This will be the first time McCartney has performed on the show although he appeared on the Comedy Central show in 2009 during a satirical 'Better Know a Beatle' segment.

This is the second one-hour music special on the 'Colbert Report'. The first one was devoted to This will be the first time McCartney has Radiohead in 2011.
