New 'Power Rangers' Costumes Slammed For Looking Like 'Robot Strippers'

The costumes for the new 'Power Rangers' are being slammed after a new image debuted the outfits on Thursday.

Fans are criticizing the new costumes as cheap Iron Man ripoffs and many female fans just can't get believe the suits include built-in heels in the form of wedges and moulded breast amour.

"It's tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume. Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that's not man-made. You can't win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans," explained production designer Andrew Menzies.

However, the explanation did little to quell the response.

"WHAT is up with the moulded boob armour? It's so cheap and tacky and rather insulting," wrote one fan named Christy.

"Why do the female rangers look like robot strippers? Answer me that?," wondered Sheena-kay.

"What's with the heels and boob armor? It's 2016, for Christ's sake!," asked Max.

"Those look pretty heavy to be doing... ANYTHING," another fan compared it to the costumes from the original.

The live-action 'Power Rangers' movie, starring Billy Cranston, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Becky G and Elizabeth Banks, has a release date of March 24, 2017.
