Neil Diamond Offers Concert Audience A Refund For Raspy Voice

Neil Diamond is offering audience of a recent Ohio concert a refund after he performed with a raspy voice earlier this week.

The 67-year-old Diamond was diagnosed with acute laryngitis soon after the Columbus, Ohio show and has released a statement offering disappointed fans a refund and apologizing with the lyrics of his single 'Play Me'.

"Dear Fans in Columbus, I haven't let you down before and I won't let you down now," says Diamond. "Until you hear from me again remember, You are the sun, I am the moon. You are the words. I am the tune. Forgive me. I love you."

Fans who attended the Columbus show have until September 5 to request a refund.

Laryngitis has also forced the singer and songwriter to cancel two upcoming concerts, which were supposed to take place this week. Green Bay's concert has been rescheduled for September 12, and the St. Louis event will now take place on September 10.
