MTV To Feature Beatles Songs In Its 'Rock Band' Game

MTV will announce on Thursday a new deal that will allow it to feature use songs by The Beatles in its popular 'Rock Band' video game series.

The two have been in talks for months, but the 'Wall Street Journal' reports the deal has finally been completed.

The deal will be considered a big win for 'Rock Band' over its rival 'Guitar Hero'. If you haven't played either, both games let you play along to popular tunes with plastic guitars to simulate the playing of music.

It marks the first major foray for the Beatles into video games, and a big step into the digital age, considering the band has kept its music off Apple's iTunes over concerns that the songs would be easily pirated.

But remember, as thrilled as you may be to see what is possibly the greatest rock band of all time come to 'Rock Band', just don't send Ringo Starr any fan mail over the move.
