MSNBC Airs Prank Call From 'Sergeant' During Malaysia Airlines Coverage

During coverage of the crashed Airlines jet that crashed over Ukraine on Thursday, MSNBC aired a prank call from an eyewitness who turned out to be a prank caller.

The caller, who was identified as Satff Sgt. Michael Boyd at the US Embassy in Ukraine, got his laughs in with host Krystal Ball.

"Well, I was looking out the window and I saw a projectile flying through the sky," he began, "and it would appear that the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern's ass."

Not appearing to catch the last part, Ball continued unfazed and asked whether the man knew anything about the missile system or where it was coming from.

"Well, you're a dumba--. Aren't you?," the frustrated caller said to Ball.

"I'm sorry, sir," she responded before the call was cut off by producers, who quickly went to break.

With a name like Krystal Ball, the host certainly didn't see it coming even after it happened.
